Saying you believe is not enough. You must submit.
Lessons on obedience, arrogance, and true success from Juz 1.
Some people see the truth and submit. Others see it and resist. Which one are you?
📖 And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but they do not know." (2:13)
🔹 This teaches us:
Some people will never change because arrogance blocks guidance.
The root cause of misery is ingratitude.
Islam is about obedience, not convenient submission.
✅ Key lessons:
Arrogance stops self-improvement. Humble yourself and let Islam refine you. Submit to your Creator's guidance; He knows best for you.
Be grateful. Praise Allah for your work ethic, literacy, work ethic, ambition, industry and all other blessings. All good is from Allah, not yourself.
Your worldly success means nothing if you do not have Tawheed. The Jews had all they desired and more, yet they were still not satisfied. They had food from heaven, kingship, and prophethood amongst them, as well as Scripture, fertile lands, and culture. Yet they always sought more, selling their Deen to do so.
Juz 1 reminds us: "Muslim" is not a title—it’s a contract of obedience. Fulfill it, or be lost in this life and the next.
Is Allah your Lord or your desires? Will you be like the Jews?
What’s one truth you’ve been stubbornly resisting? Are you in a haram job? Are you involved in Riba? Do you have a haram relationship?
What’s one truth you’ve been denying? Let me know.
Talk soon,
Hamza.
